If you want to learn how to play Leona on your matches, keep in mind that this champion is moderately difficult to play in LoL. This Leona guide will give you also an understanding on how to beat Leona. The upcoming LoL Leona Support Build is the most popular build picked by many Pros.
Pregame Build
In champion select you need to choose your Leona runes and summoner spells. The best Leona Support Runes 14.12 are Resolve as the primary path and Inspiration as the secondary path. The most supportive Leona keystone rune is Aftershock. Flash and Ignite are the summoner spells, which fits this LoL Leona Build the most.
Item Build on Leona
The starter items for the best Leona Build on patch 14.12 are Health Potion, Health Potion, World Atlas, and a Oracle Lens as the trinket. As the game progresses, the most popular Leona items are Warmog's Armor and Locket of the Iron Solari. Plated Steelcaps are the most bought Leona boots by Pros. This Leona Build will outstandingly increase your chances to gain LP and to climb the leaderboard in LoL.
Laning Phase
With this Leona Build she remains powerful throughout the whole game, provided things are going smoothly. Her kit ensures that she can create many opportunities for her botlaner to get kills, stay safe, and farm up.
Leona’s level two is one of the strongest in the bottom lane. With both Zenith Blade and Shield of Daybreak, you can close the gap between yourself and the enemy botlaner or support and stun them with ease. With a level advantage at level two, Leona can easily either secure a kill or burn a few Summoner Spells.
Leona's an excellent roamer thanks to her ultimate. You should be especially vigilant in ganking lanes that have no Summoner Spells or gap-closers. Ganking in conjunction with your jungler is all the more deadly, so try to coordinate with them to pull off successful ganks, and turn those kills into objectives as well.
Team Fights
Team fighting is Leona's forte. She excels at initiating fights, either by catching enemies out with her Zenith Blade or stunning several enemy team members with Solar Flare. The latter is also a terrific tool for disengaging unfavourable team fights.
If your botlaner is very strong, it might be worthwhile sticking by their side throughout the entire fight and peeling. With Shield of Daybreak, Zenith Blade and Solar Flare all together, you can keep enemies stun-locked long enough that your botlaner can kill them or flee.
Leona Abilities
At the beginning of a match start to skill the ability Shield of Daybreak on Leona. As the match progresses, it is best to maximise Eclipse into Zenith Blade and at last Shield of Daybreak. Eclipse is a very strong ability of Leona in order to build up a lead and dominate your opponents. The passive is called Sunlight and there is no need to set it manually on a Leona Build.
Damaging spells afflict enemies with Sunlight for 1.5 seconds. When allied Champions deal damage to those targets, they consume the Sunlight to deal additional magic damage.

Day breaks over a landscape consecrated by blood and steel. A battle begins as a new dawn rises. - Short Story: The Light Bringer **
The raiders attacked before dawn; fifty wolf-lean men in iron hauberks mantled with strange furs and bearing ash-dulled axes. Their steps were swift as they entered the settlement at the foot of the mountain. These were men who had fought as brothers for years, who lived in the heartbeat between life and death. A warrior in battered scale armor and bearing a heavy-bladed greatsword over his shoulder led them. Beneath his dragon-helm, his face was bearded and raw, burned by a lifetime of war-making under a harsher sun than this. - Featured Link: Rise With Me
