Bloodborne: Where to go after Blood-Starved Beast?
After you defeat the Blood-Starved Beast in Bloodborne you received the Pthumeru Chalice and you will ask yourself: Where to go after Blood-Starved Beast?
You have two options to go. You could buy the emblem from the messenger. This can be used to unlock the entrance to the cathedral ward, but this would require a lot of souls. The cheaper option is to return to the cathedral ward. It is in the corridor that opened at the cathedral ward lamp. There is an elevator, use it!
Tips to beat Blood-Starved Beast
Make sure you have antidote equipped in the quick selection and 20 blood vials with you. Fire paper or Molotov cocktails could also be quite helpful. At first, the Blood-Starved Beast is still quite harmless. He walks leisurely towards you and tries to hit you with attacks of his hands. Simply dodge with to the left or right, get behind him and hit with targeted blows or charged R2 attacks. If the beast hits you, just run behind a pillar to heal in peace.
After about a third of the boss fight against the Blood-Starved Beast in Bloodborne, the little beast mutates. It becomes much more aggressive and also deals poison damage. Always dodge sideways. As so often in Bloodborne, jumping backwards is fatal in the worst case. At this point you can use your antidote if necessary. Always out of reach and behind a pillar. As soon as the beast jumps past you, strike from behind. Find out in the pattern when the Blood-Starved Beast pauses to give it a targeted Molotov cocktail. Be careful, the beast is agile, so an untargeted throw with Molotov cocktails will miss quickly. All in all, you will need patience in this fight. Don’t rush at the beast haphazardly. First try evasive maneuvers to gain safety. Wait for the right moment to strike. After another third of the energy bar, the Blood-Starved Beast becomes even more aggressive and also generates a deadly poison cloud around itself.
It will now attack you incessantly, so bring the pillars between you and the beast. By dodging to the left and right or even to the front, you try to catch the beast from behind. Use the normal mode of your weapons to deal faster blows. After two blows you retreat. If it doesn’t work at all, get help in front of the entrance to the boss room. Be sure to upgrade your weapons to maximum and use the fire paper you found to deal fire damage. Once you have killed the beast, you will receive the Pthumeru Chalice. Light the lamp, but be sure to get the antidote item behind the altar.
