Best PC for Minecraft: Gaming PCs optimized for Minecraft
The open-world game Minecraft inspires millions of players worldwide – not least thanks to the sophisticated details, the different modes, and the extensive game worlds. To make the most of all the features and functions of Minecraft, you need a high-performance gaming PC. You can also opt for a laptop for Minecraft.
We take a look at a diverse selection of gaming PCs and you can immerse yourself in your gaming adventures intensively thanks to the powerful models. To find the perfect Minecraft PC for you, you first need to take a look at the game’s system requirements.
Minecraft System Requirements
Software System Requirements
Minecraft can be used on a desktop PC with Windows, Mac, and Linux (Java edition). With Microsoft Windows, however, the game turns up the heat. Not only can Minecraft then be played cross-platform, but downloadable content can also be used, as well as Realms Plus, achievements/trophies, or LAN and WIFI multiplayer, for example. Even though some of this content and features have to be purchased separately, the field of possibilities for you here is very wide.
Minecraft for Windows Minimum System Requirements
In addition to the software system requirements, there are some other concerns: the hardware. Not every PC is capable of playing Minecraft, let alone getting the most out of the game. At a minimum, you should have a computer with an Intel Core i3-3210 3.2 GHz or AMD A8-7600 APU 3.1 GHz processor, 4 GB of RAM, and an Intel HD Graphics 4000 or AMD Radeon R5. With such or equivalent equipment, you’ll be able to play Minecraft solidly and with the basic settings. However, more powerful equipment is recommended so that you can play the game smoothly and with good graphics rendering.
Minecraft for Windows Recommended Requirements
- Processor (CPU): Intel Core i5-4690 3.5 GHz / AMD A10-7800 APU 3.5 GHz or higher
- Graphics Card (GPU): GeForce 700 Series or AMD Radeon Rx 200 Series with OpenGL 4.5 or higher
- Memory (DDR4 RAM): 8 GB or higher
- DirectX: 11.0
- Hard Disk Space (HDD/SSD): may vary, but to be on the safe side, about 50 GB should be free
Our Minecraft Gaming PC Recommendations
The system requirements of Minecraft are not particularly high. Therefore, it is possible to play Minecraft with inexpensive gaming PCs. You should keep in mind that the more modern the hardware equipment is, the better the game runs and the more functions you can use. For example, if you choose a modern AMD Ryzen processor, your gaming PC will perform even better and harmonize even better with the game. With a powerful graphics card like the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 or even a GPU like the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060, you can increase the quality of your gaming adventure. Topics like ray tracing have also arrived in Minecraft in the meantime. That’s why it’s now more common to see graphics cards like the NVIDIA GeForce RTX series being recommended for the game, to be prepared for possible future changes to the game.
For gamers who don’t particularly care about this technology, but want to play Minecraft and other games well, we recommend an 11th generation Intel Core i5 processor or an AMD Ryzen 5. With an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 or GTX 1050 Ti, you’re already well equipped for many games. 8 GB RAM is recommended for Minecraft. However, we recommend upgrading to 16 GB of RAM. You won’t have any problems with many games.

FAQs
What is Minecraft Realms Plus?
Minecraft Realms and Realms Plus are subscription-based services that let you play Minecraft online with friends and family on your own personal server. Depending on the service, you get access to a catalog of Minecraft content, such as skins, worlds, and resource packs. You can also subscribe to Minecraft Realms or Realms Plus with the latest Bedrock Engine-based version of Minecraft on smartphones, Xbox consoles, Windows 10/11 devices, VR devices, and Nintendo Switch consoles.
What is Minecraft Ray Tracing?
The ray tracing feature is available to all players of the Bedrock version on Windows. The prerequisite is an RTX-capable graphics card. Mojang also recommends a PC with 8 GBytes of RAM.
The ray tracing package includes modified block textures that take advantage of ray tracing – surface reflections, for example. The effect is particularly noticeable with water, which now realistically reflects the environment in Minecraft’s RTX mode. The ray-traced version also adds realistic shadows and global illumination.
